On the ensuing Chargers possession, quarterback Justin Herbert drove Los Angeles down the field and set up a game-winning 50-yard field goal from Michael Badgley, who doinked it off the upright and the game went to overtime.
In overtime, New Orleans kicker Wil Lutz made a 36-yard field goal to give the Saints the lead. New Orleans cornerback Marshon Lattimore stopped the Chargers’ Mike Williams on 4th-and-7 to seal the game. New Orleans improved to 3-2 with the 30-27 overtime win.
